Three weeks to go to this year's Farnborough Half Marathon supported by Farnborough Airport. Up until midnight on Sunday January 18, if you have entered and can no longer run, you can defer your entry to next year for free. As we still start out numbers from Monday January 18, any deferrals after that will be come with a £5 admin charge to cover the postage and replacement number and chip.  The charge will be taken off for deferral credit. 

Since we have already had a number of deferrals we still have over 300 available entries for this year's Farnborough Winter Half Marathon, which to remind you is the 10th anniversary of the race. 

For 2026 we have continued our decision to focus solely on the half and stop the accompanying 5k. Having the two races sharing parts of the same course was causing logistical issues.  The kids run, which is free, will continue. You do not need to pre-enter the kids run, if you have a child who is interested in running, you can pick up a number of the day. Adults can run with their children, it's an 800m route that follows an out and back section of the half marathon course, but you do not need a number. 

Although we celebrate the winners and highlight the quality of the times at the front, we are just as proud of those runners who  have taken their first racing steps at the Farnborough Winter Half. Completing a half marathon is an achievement whatever your time. We don't have a cut-off at Farnborough,  although the roads will open after three and half hours. If you are worried about running outside three hours, don't be, you won't be alone.  To help runners towards the back of the field we will once again have a Run/Walk pace group as part of a comprehensive pace programme, which starts with groups aiming for sub-90 minutes. The pace programme is supported by the Village Hotel Farnborough, our official hotel partner.

The course is the same as the 2025 version and the field for the half marathon has a maximum size of 3000.
