For 2026, which will be the 10th running of the race, we have continued our decision to focus solely on the half and stop the accompanying 5k. Having the two races sharing parts of the same course was causing logistical issues. In addition with a  number of free Park Runs in the local area the day before, demand for the 5K had been falling.  The kids run, which is free, will continue but will not be open until closer to the race date in 2026.

Although we celebrate the winners and highlight the quality of the times at the front, we are just as proud of those runners who  have taken their first racing steps at the Farnborough Winter Half. Completing a half marathon is an achievement whatever your time. We don't have a cut-off at Farnborough, although the roads will open after three and half hours. If you are worried about running outside three hours, don't be, you won't be alone.  To help runners towards the back of the field we will once again have a Run/Walk pace group as part of a comprehensive pace programme, which starts with groups aiming for sub-90 minutes. 

The course is the same as the 2025 version and the field for the half marathon will increase to a maximum of 3000. As you will see from the prices there is an incentive to enter early,  and don't forget that this is a popular race. In 2025 we were sold out by the beginning of January, in 2024 it closed a month earlier.
